I just finished Oregairu. I liked it a good amount, and was wondering if there were more shows I could watch with a similar feel. Generally, high school atmosphere, though not necessarily love triangle type. Toradora is also a good example. My first impression of this anime was pretty positive. I love the art direction, the 3d style, as well as the plot. The only thing that has been a drawback for me is that the animation makes me sick. Not like "I don't like it" type sick either. The frame-rate and motion is so jarring at times that it makes me feel sick. I can only watch briefly, so I guess it's a blessing in disguise. I usually burn through a 20 episode season in a day or two, but this is taking substantially longer. Has anyone else experienced anything similar?

My friend watched yuri anime once. He used to be pretty homophobic like mocking gay people and didn't want them to have the same rights. He watched Sakura Trick because "girls kissing are hot" but instead it completely turned him. He sort of fell in love with the main characters and the love dynamic they had and wanted the girls to stay happy. Then he told me that after a while he thought that maybe somewhere out in the world there are other Haruka and Yuu people who just want to be happy and live a peaceful life with who they choose to be with and he began to regret his previous beliefs and now fully supports gay people and giving them the same rights.

I always see people singing Konosubas praises, memes of it everywhere, etc., and after finishing it I honestly don’t see what was so good about it. From what I understand, it was a comedy show? Not sure if it’s personal preference, but if I had the option of watching Grand Blue again, or Konosuba, I would go with Grand Blue in a heartbeat. Do people like Konosuba for waifus or some shit? I feel like compared to other comedy shows, it just doesn’t hold up. Like Saiki K, Nichibros, Sakamoto Kun, and even shows that don’t completely revolve around comedy like Arakawa Under the Bridge all strike me as much better shows in almost every regard. Not to mention, idk if it’s just me, but the animation in Konosuba was... okay? I’m really just interested in what people have to say about why they think it’s so good, or what it does better than other shows in the genre.

I like to watch anime on occasion, but I'm not a hardcore fan. I'm looking for a short anime series (like less than 50 episodes) that's preferably dubbed (subbed is fine if the anime is REALLY good and there's no dub available). Something that I can spend a weekend watching. A few animes that I really enjoyed were The Future Diary, Death Note, and SAO. I'm sure there's others but I'm drawing a blank right now. What do you suggest? P.S. There's been a lot of great animes that I've started (like Code Geass) but simply because they were too long I stopped watching and forgot where I left off (life gets busy sometimes, ya know?) OK, so. I saw an episode of it around 5-7 years ago and i'm pretty sure it was about a cooking competition. A male character had made cookies or bread in the shape of (the image shown). The people who ate the cookie/bread turned in to it??? As in, their faces took on the expression and their bodies snap into the position of the pastry. Everytime I meet a guy/girl that watches anime and have been watching for a few years I ask them this question, do you think that anime keeps getting worse year by year??, what I mean is that anime back in 2013 was fn amazing, anime in 2018 was trash, you have a few animes that were actually good (violet evergarden, devilman crybaby, jojo, mha, and cells at work) and that's it tbh, same goes for 2017 (the Ancient Magus bride, little witch academia, youjo senki, Gintama, 91 days and inyuashiki) every year there is a smaller number of anime that is actually enjoyable (thanks Netflix) but back in 2013 you had a lot more anime that was good, same goes for 2014, 2015, and 2016. Here is a few animes from each year, 13 (kill la kill, silver spoon, magi, nagi no asukara, chihayafuru, kingdom, attack on titan, hajimi no ippo, kuroko, monogatari, psycho pass, etc...) 14 (jojo, yona of the dawn, yowamushi pedal, kuroshitsuji, silver spoon s2, fate/stay night, nanatsu no taizai, no game no life, parasyte, haikyuu, ping pong the animation, mushishi, your lie in April and ofc terror in resonance one of the best animes ever) 15,16 ( yahari, baby steps, death parade, fate, noragami, Jojo, shokugeki no souma, kuroko, kaikyuu, one punch man, gintama, ajin, relife, mha, mob physco 100, yuri on ice, erased, re zero) and there is more but you get it, after 2016 anime took a big hit, I would love to hear about your opinions. (Dont start commenting about animes that I forgot to mention, I probably forgot a lot)

I found a good image that I can use for the video (of the protagonist), but I need to choose a good background to place behind the image of the protagonist. Not shoujo on paticular but anime that have main female characters. As a girl I just tend to enjoy those more. A lot of great anime like mob psycho, one punch man or My hero academia do have female characters but are just side characters or just sit there to be called best girl.

Of course, there is nothing wrong with others liking it, I can certainly see why it would be enjoyable but I just don't see how it's hailed as anything more than a mediocre, standard shounen with nice animation and hype scenes, so I would like to know what it does better than other shounen because I can't see it. It doesn't execute shounen tropes better or add a unique spin to it in my opinion, it uses and executes shounen tropes the exact same way... every other shounen does with prettier animation from what I've seen of the show (which is until halfway through season 3) I'm genuinely curious about this and don't mean this as offense to any of it's fans, it sounds like an interesting discussion and I would like to see some of the perspective of the fans who think it's unique and people who say it's masterfully executed/saved the shounen genre/is the gold standard of what shounen should be.

The show was phenomenal in my opinion but mostly the relations ships everyone had and even more important Hiro and zero two. Without those it’d still be good but no where worth while. I get into a show and then I’m addicted and this is it but this time the ending SUCKED DICK. Like wtf how hard is it to make a good ending they were going in the right direction. I mean at the end is some people’s eyes it might been good like they all had families and saved humanity and zero two and Hiro souls live on, but as I’m typing this remembering it I get this wave of sadness. Like they all died, didn’t speak to them again, and really not a lot of information. At the end when it says a new story began and it was young Hiro and zero two meeting up again what was that all about someone explain, AND WILL THERE BE SEASON 2. AHSJCJODHEHSS I’m so mad ????

The interface is so good(arguably better than paid anime sites) and there are no popups but other pirate sites there's a million popups and a lot of the time they don't have the good HD quality. I think this might be like my second post ever to Reddit so if this is in the wrong thread or if i'm asking in the wrong place or whatever i'd appreciate if someone could inbox me the appropriate place to ask. But basically, I've been thinking about this anime movie I watched probably close to 9 or 10 years ago, and I've been trying to find the name of it for a while now with no luck. It was playing via either a NZ or AUS TV station (don't recall where I was at the time), and I distinctly remember a scene where a young child is swimming around in a pond (possibly with a friend), and I believe there might have been a red octopus involved in the scene (either as a hat or swimming with the kid. I really do apologise for not being more specific, it was a very long time ago), and in that scene I believe towards the end there is an adult of some sort which encourages the kid to come out of the water because I think the whole premise of the movie was returning this kid back to their home (can't remember exactly but I think the scene might have been pretty emotional as I think it was towards the end of the movie). The only other thing I can remember about this movie was the bright and cheerful colour scheme (perhaps similar to Ponyo in terms of how the sky was a nice blue and the landscape around was a nice green. Again not sure if i'm remembering that correctly). But yeah I've been using these descriptions to try find this on Google but no luck so far, so any help with this would be greatly appreciated :)
